one more week...

Only one more week and I'll be no longer the guest designer for CIS!! I've organised some photo's for the LO's I have to create. I didn't want to do them straight away as I wanted to find just the right photo's for them, so I'll be working on them this weekend. I'll upload them here as soon as they are on the CIS site. I'll miss it heaps, it is so much fun working with those girls, they are the best!!

I'm also LO pick of the week, woohoo!! It's just so lovely when you open the page to CIS and you see your LO as LO pick of the week :)))

This week I have been working quite a bit on my everyday moment journal. I really love it. it's only A5 so you can do quite a few pages in an evening. Here are some that I made this week.

I really should get on to making some pages (like lots) for Allan's album but I keep on being side tracked..

I taught a class on Tuesday night at Scrap The Lot, a stamping one and felt bag one. Was lots of fun. 2 of the ladies had previously booked into a felt bag and album class but because there were not enough people we got them to join in on the stamping class where I taught them the felt bag and album. I'm always a bit nervous before the class and at the beginning but relax once it's all rolling along. They must have enjoyed it because 5 of them booked in for another class that I teach so that was lovely! If you want to have a spot at one of the classes make sure that you book in quick as the class sizes are now a max of 6!!

I've been having a look at the kiwi scraps site and would so much love to go!! I've never been there but it looks like so much fun! If you've ever been please give me some more info. I know it's a bit expensive but I thought if I save up from now on, not spend too much on scrapping stuff I might be able to go. Then I'd also need a roomie at the hotel. So if you might be interested please let me know.

We went over to Allan's niece Emma and her husband Jol last week. They had a little girl a few weeks ago, her name is Sophie Ellen and she is just so cute!! Could have taken her home!! She fell asleep while I was holding her, that was so lovely! Here is the beautiful little bubba.

We done a bit of baking as well, some savoury muffins yesterday, a cake for trifle on the weekend and last week we made a hedgehog slice. Very yummy!. When Jolene was teaching a class wednesday night I had to use one of the photo's. I choose one of Lucy who is thoroughly enjoying her piece of slice LOL.

Lucy really knows now when I want to take a picture. I really have to make an effort not to get her lovely posing face. I love this gorgeous posing face though so I thought I'd better do a LO about it before she has a new one.

Marni Telford, a designer at CIS, made this gorgeous LO for me!! Love it so much, thanks heaps Marni!!

Guess that's all for today ! Hope to see lots of entries for the challenges at CIS, the monthly themed one (mine) and the stylish monthly challenge!!
Please leave a message when you visit, I would love to know who comes overhere, thanks!!
See you next time!
Happy scrapping!!

CIS Cybercrop ... and more...

This weekend was the CIS cybercrop. The theme this month was "size does matter"....

I made a LO for all the three challenges.

The first challenge was to use a photo 6" x *8 or larger and at least 4 patterned papers. This is my Lo for that challenge (I so love this one, Lucy looks sooo gorgeous :)

The next challenge was to use thumbnail size photo's, paint and make it quite minimalistic. I first painted the cardstock pink, then I applied a crackle medium and topped it with red paint. Then I gave it a wash with some gold. I also added some gold paint to the alpha's.Here's the result (it's about Lucy's first birthday.. almost a year ago!!)

The third challenge was a sketch and to make a large embellishment. I made a LO for Allan's birthday album with a handmade rockpool LOL

On sunday night I had to organise the "20 questions" game. We did it in the chatroom this time. It went pretty quick which I didn't mind but it was a bit too quick for some ladies, so next I think it should be played in the forum again.

I also have a challenge up in the forum click here if you haven't done it yet, go on.. have a go :)

Lucrecia and I went to the craftfair on sunday. We had a lovely afternoon, there was not much scrapbooking at the fair so when we had seen it all there we went to some scrap shops in Gungahlin and had some lovely lunch there.

It was so nice to just do some things with a friend without having the responsibility for the kids.

On friday night a did an online class with Jennifer Hall creating the cover for an "everyday journal". We had a technique class everyday in the week prior to the live workshop so we were all prepared for the class. I loved it and have started my everyday journal. I want it to start in July so I dug in my memory (and in my pictures) to get some stuff for July.

Here are the frontcover and the days that I've done so far...

My friend Christine has been asked for the Design team of Scrap the Lot she hasn't got a blog yet (hint hint chook!!) but you can check some of her gorgeous LO's here. She is just sooo talented, really love what she does!!

Last but definitely NOT least... Liz has nominated me to be a rockin' girl blogger... wooohooooo

Thanks for the vote Liz!!! Now to live up to THAT!!!!
Now I nominate...... tadaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Christine (chook).. double hint :)

Jolene sent me this gorgeous pack to make a coup[le of LO's with, they are not due till the end of this month but as soon as they are up in the gallery I will share them here as well.
We are almost at the end of our online retreat at CIS. It has been so much fun. Tomorrow night will be the last class for the retreat, a hambly overlay mini album. We've done heaps of things already, 12 cards, 8.5 x 11 LO, 12 x 12 LO, beadiful LO, frame class, stampin' up workshop, power crop workshop... lots of games..... Been having a great time. I will only show the 12 x 12 LO and the power workshop (2 LO's within an hour!!!!) ones as some of the other things are for a very special occasion and I won't show them here yet.. just in case it will be seen by someone that is not allowed to see them yet... LOL

I also made a LO for the stop the moment competition (the photo course + competition in one)
This is my LO for this month (plus a little close up of the KG on the chip alpha's)

Also check out Scrap The Lot's website
